Fishing Lake Rotorua : Ngongotaha Lakeside Lodge |
---|
Lakeside Lodge is a top quality bed and breakfast on the shore of Lake Rotorua, the largest of the fourteen lakes in this amazing thermal and lake area. The upper level of this two-storey home is exclusively for guests with three ensuite bedrooms and the guest lounge opening onto the conservatory with panoramic views of the lake. From the conservatory you may start your day watching the local fishermen try their luck for fighting rainbow and wily brown trout at the mouth of the Waiteti Stream but very soon you will feel the draw of the sparkling waters and find yourself casting, learning and netting some of the best fish you'll ever catch. Whether you plan to stay awhile and relax, try your luck at catching a trophy trout or have busy sightseeing days, you can be sure that your stay will be one to remember. |
Lyndsay & Graham | Sunrise over Lake Rotorua |
Graham, born in England, came to NZ in 1973. A furniture upholsterer by trade, he is now semi-retired. After many years of having successful businesses in the UK and NZ, he now is happy to spend time fly fishing and getting to know our guests. Many an hour has been spent on the stream bank, swapping tips and telling tales (photo of Waiteti Stream). Lyndsay, a Kiwi, enjoys home decorating, a skill learned with Graham in their furniture business, helping customers with colours and fabrics. This is shown throughout the home, with the tasteful décor and furnishings. Lyndsay is a great cook and her breakfasts are legendary. |
