Merrigum is a quaint self-contained farm cottage (c1903) restored to provide today’s comforts in harmony with its Australian heritage. Our cattle grazing property is centrally located in the Yarra Valley, giving visitors an ideal base from which to explore the many significant attractions of this beautiful area within a short drive. Privately located in a country garden on the property, Merrigum Cottage overlooks an attractive dam - a haven for many native birds. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine beside the restful beauty of the open fire, unwind in the relaxing, deep, oval spa bath or watch the mountain view change over the course of the day. If winding down is what you need, you will find Merrigum perfect! The cottage is furnished with collectables that embrace its heritage background. The two bedrooms (queen and twin) are tastefully decorated and supplied with bedding for all seasons. The lounge has a three-piece suite, television, DVD player, CD player/radio, open fire and reverse-cycle airconditioner. The kitchen has fullsize refrigerator, gas stove, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster, plus a full complement of utensils, cookware, glassware and crockery. The gas barbecue provides convenient cooking outside. Depending on your needs and the package you choose, breakfast ingredients can be varied with prior notice. |
