History of Bond Springs Outback Retreat | |
---|---|
Our family purchased Bond Springs in 1964 and today it is a successful family cattle station with a reputation for producing some of the best beef in the Territory. The homestead and the surrounds are maintained as a testament of the early pioneers. We feel privileged to be able to share the experience of gracious outback living in this historic homestead In 1989 began to welcome a select handful of guests to enjoy Bond Springs Station as a visit for day trips. Since then we have opened the homestead for house guests. For the past three years Jan Heaslip has opened her homestead to guests wanting to experience a little of life on an Australian outback station and to share with her the natural beauty of this different place. Jan had experienced, as a guest, farmstay in the United States while travelling there and was convinced her home Bond Springs was ideally suited offer a similar experience with an Australian flavour. Jan has renovated and restored the homestead’s guest accommodation electing to furnish these rooms in the style of early Australiana, appropriate to the historic significance of the house. Jan has acquired some fine pieces to establish this decor, but above all the accent is on comfort – a place to relax and feel pampered. |
