Place for an Old DogGiba Gunyah Country Cottages are just perfect for that romantic weekend escape… or for a longer, more relaxing break. Set in more than thirty hectares of bush and rolling dairy farmland are two charming cottages furnished in country style.

Each cottage has two bedrooms: a main bedroom with queensize bed and a second bedroom with two single beds which can also be converted into a kingsize bed. The living area has queensize sofa bed and a well equipped country kitchen. All linen is supplied and special little touches are provided here and there to delight you.

Each cottage has a secluded fenced garden, stunning views and prolific bird life. Our canine guests love the space, the smells, the river and the rabbits. They also enjoy curling up in front of a log fire on frosty nights.

Included in the cottages are hearty starter breakfast basket provisions: juice, cereals, freshly baked bread, our farm eggs, home made jam, plunger coffee, teas. A welcome evening meal is also available on request. Luxury linen is supplied.

Stone Cottage…
Giba Gunyah means 'stone shelter' and the original cottage at Giba Gunyah is a fairytale cottage built originally out of timber from the property and large boulders from the river. The cottage, built by well known watercolour artist Ray Barnett and his wife Beatrice, sits high on the bushy hill overlooking lush farming paddocks and the Bemboka River. Sited in a shady cottage-style garden, the cottage remains pleasantly cool during the summer months and in winter is made snug with a cosy log fire.

Pinewood Cottage…

Pinewood Cottage is a mellow timberlined hexagon, built for wheelchair access. It has a large kitchen and living area, spacious bathroom, two bedrooms and a light and airy living space.

Pinewood is heated by a log fire.

The cottage enjoys a northerly aspect, with views to the bushclad ridges surrounding Bemboka Peak. It is set in a large fenced native garden and is surrounded by a shady grape and wisteria-draped pergola.

Pine Cottage is equipped for wheelchair access.
