The O'Keefe Rail Trail (Bendigo to Heathcote) is nearing completion - planning in progress for the final 25km from Axedale to Heathcote. Heathcote is 110km (1.5 hr) north of Melbourne on Northern Highway (B75); 30km SE of Bendigo. Emeu Inn is adjacent the Heathcote Winery in main street at north end of town.
