The beach at Maitland Bay is a 20-minute walk down an easy track through Bouddi National Park. Putty Beach can be reached easily by car in 5 minutes. Other local beaches include Killcare, McMasters and Copacabana (5 minutes by car), with Avoca and Terrigal only 20 minutes by car.

Local restaurants such as the acclaimed Bells, The Fat Goose, Yum Yum eatery, Bistro 14 at Hardys Bay RSL and the Empire Bay Australian Seafood restaurant are just minutes away as is The Old Killcare Store cafe/restaurant.

Boats can be hired from Andersons at Ettalong for a day's cruising or fishing in Brisbane Water.

An intimate cinema is located at Ettalong next to the restaurants and colourful weekend markets. There is a new Leisure Centre at Woy Woy and swimming pools at Gosford. Supermarkets are located at Ettalong, Kincumber and Woy Woy.

Slightly further afield, the vast retail shopping complex at Erina (20 minutes by car) should satisfy the most ardent of shoppers with over 300 shops to browse through. It also includes an 8-screen Hoyts Cinema and the Erina Ice Arena.
