Blair Athol is a beautiful turn-of-last-century manor house, set in gardens. It has all the charm you would expect from a grand country home.

It is located only 6km from the prosperous town of Inverell. Set on 22 hectares of prime land with sweeping vistas, it includes two hectares of natural and formal gardens with varied heritage-listed trees, most dating back to the 1870s.

The grounds also comprise stables, gardener s cottage, ironstone cemetery, sunken garden, pond and the spectacular private grove.

Additional semi-selfcontained accommodation is available in our Coach House.

Visitors return because they like the ambience of the house and the chance to stay somewhere with such a tangible connection to colonial history.

I love that Inverell experiences four seasons and is a great place for a country holiday… I'm so grateful to those pioneers who laid the foundations that made it possible.

  • Check in time: 2:00 pm onwards (early check in by arrangement).
  • Check out time: by 10:00 am (later check out by arrangement).
  • For the security and safety of all guests, only guests staying at Blair Athol Estate are permitted into the building or on the grounds, unless prior arrangements have been made when booking your accommodation.

Cancellations

Whilst we understand unexpected things can happen…

  • 15 or more days: no charge.
  • 3 to 14 days: $50 administration fee.
  • 48 hours: one night's room rate.
  • 24 hours or no show: 100% of the booking.
