Birregurra 'By the Barwon' is a small country town steeped in history and character. The historic railway station is still operating and public golf course has views of the river and surrounding countryside. Being part of a lush dairy region, it's no wonder that the district produces Australia's best ice-cream. Irrewarra Homestead ice-cream. is made on the farm with biodynamic milk and fruit. Regal-Bulla ice-cream has been made in Colac by five generations of the same family.
