Lake GlenbawnThe Upper Hunter Valley has a wealth of attractions to offer guests at Belltrees:

  • Visiting Lake Glenbawn for water-skiing.
  • Canoeing or fishing on the Barrington River.
  • Picnicking (and admiring the spectacular views) on the Barrington Tops.

The Hunter Valley is known worldwide for its vineyards. Within easy driving distance are some of the popular wineries including Arrowfield, Rosemount, Reynolds Yarraman, Horseshoe, Serenella, Callatoota, London Lodge and Two Rivers.

Also within an easy drive are the famous thoroughbred studs of the Scone area which confidently labels itself the ‘Horse Capital of Australia’.

Tours to both horse studs and wineries can be organised for guests.

Belltrees is four hours drive from Sydney, a half-hour drive (36km) east of Scone on the Gundy Road. Scone has a daily bus, XPT train and air service from Sydney. Transfers from Scone to Belltrees are easily arranged.
