Finding Your Way to Annandale & Bet's B&B

Annandale - An Overview

Just 3.5km from the heart of Sydney, Annandale is one of the city's closest residential suburbs. Also, it is only 10km from Sydney Airport.

Subdivided in the 1870s, Annandale is known for its diverse range of buildings from colonial mansions to workers' cottages, refurbished warehouse apartments to light commercial premises, music stores to live music pubs. Its wide tree-lined streets, range of shops and cosmopolitan character give Annandale its friendly, quiet neighbourhood charm. For the visitor, there is a selection of restaurants, ranging from the modern Australian cuisine of Three Clicks West and Zenith, to the special culinary tastes of restaurants serving the food of Greece, France, Thailand and China. There are inexpensive alfresco cafes, a gourmet pizza bar, and the surprisingly varied menu of the North Annandale Hotel. The nearby restaurant strip of Glebe Point Road and the Italian food extravaganza of Leichhardt's Norton Street are just five minutes away.

The village shopping centre includes all your needs, among them: a bank, a post office, three supermarkets and a gourmet delicatessen, two bakeries, two laundries, medical offices, a naturopath and a physiotherapist, two newsagencies, three beauty salons, a pharmacy, a florist, a liquor store and even a betting shop.
