Marble Lodge : Angaston & the Barossa Valley |
---|
![]() Angaston main street has lots to offer the tourist – excellent art/craft shops, restaurants and history. We recommend the Heritage Walk of Angaston, numerous other walks in and near the town, and interesting drives in the high country nearby, and just ten minutes away is a splendid bush walking trail through the Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park – the famous Heysen Trail cuts across one side of it. Scenery throughout the area is superb. There are so many things visitors can do and see in this area. The Barossa is famous for its fine food and wines, and it really is a shame not to spend at least several days here so that you can experience some of South Australia's loveliest countryside. Ideally, make Marble Lodge your base for a few days, consider taking day trips to Clare Valley (another famous wine district just one hour away), historic Burra (2 hours) or to the vast areas of irrigated oranges, stone fruits and vines of the Riverland (1 hour).
