Retreat Shearers' Quarters is a converted/renovated old shearers' building that has been transformed into a fully self-contained three-bedroom cottage. It is situated in the middle of a paddock, near the beautiful MacDonald River.

This budget accommodation on a working cattle farm sleeps a maximum of nine guests in three bedrooms:

  • 1 family room comprising of double bed + single bed.
  • 2 twin single bedrooms (each room has two single beds in it).
  • 1 single bed in living room.
  • 2 trundle beds in twin rooms = max 10 guests.

Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven, microwave and fridge freezer, TV, stereo, fans, heaters, barbecue, iron, firewood, tea and coffee facilities. Porta-cot and highchair available.

Bed linen, towels, blankets and doonas are provided.

Tariff & Conditions

  • Midweek: $120 per night
  • Weekends: $280 for two nights.
  • Full Week: $650
  • Pricing is based on 2 people staying in Retreat Shearers' Quarters.
  • Additional guests at a charge of $25 per adult ($10 child) per night.
  • Minimum 2-night stay.
  • Bed linen, towels, blankets and doonas are provided.
  • A deposit of 25% of the total amount is required in advance to confirm your booking.
  • In the event of cancellation, 50% of your deposit will be refundable if 2 weeks notice is given.
  • $250 bond required.
  • We accept cheques, direct deposit or cash.
  • No credit card or EFTPOS facilities.
  • Discounts apply to regular visitors.
  • Check in/out times are negotiable.
