Guest accommodation is separate from the main house and comprises four attractive double suites. Each unit opens onto a veranda which overlooks the lush tropical garden. All the guest rooms are fully ensuite, with a large shower, and have a ceiling fan, fridge, radio alarm, hair dryer and their own convenient undercover parking facilities. We have lovely soft fluffy towels – not those horrible thin ones – and if you fancy a dip in the pool just come and ask us for a beach towel. Sitting on the veranda outside the unit is an ideal location to enjoy your complimentary drink or to watch visiting birds including the flightless cassowary, Australia's largest rainforest bird.

An extra bed can be added to the room to make it a triple. Extra adult is charged at AU$40 per day, and a child aged 10 to 17 is charged at AU$25 per day. The Lodge is not suitable for children under the age of ten.

To make your stay more comfortable, there is a large guest lounge. In here you will find a TV, DVD player, CD player, lots of books and games. If you fancy a break from eating at restaurants then make use of our barbecue along with microwave and hot plate. We have all the crockery and cutlery you need. By all means bring back a takeaway meal, and watch your favourite TV show. We have all twelve episodes of Fawlty Towers, plus eight of Yes, Minister amongst our DVD collection. The bikes are always available, as is the ride-on mower. No need to ask – just do it!

Almost all of the tour operators pick up and drop off at the lodge at no extra charge, so it is easy to go to the Reef and do a spot of scuba diving or snorkelling. For the more adventurous there is white water rafting (thoroughly recommended!), sky diving and sea kayaking. What more could you want? A cup of tea or coffee when you come back from the beach or from the Reef – OK, we can do that!
