Jenny Wren Chalet is a delightful self-contained, two-storey brick and timber cottage in Queensland’s Bunya Mountains.

The cottage has verandas on all four sides and striking landscaped gardens much appreciated by the local birds and wallabies.

Features include a log fire, barbecue and undercover parking. Situated a pleasant three-hour drive from Brisbane, the forested Bunya Mountains command panoramic views across the Darling Downs.

Jenny Wren Chalet is the place to stay when visiting the Bunya Mountains National Park or Bunya Mountains Environmental and Conference Centre.

National Park walking tracks cover approximately 40km within the 11,700-hectare park which features several distinct vegetation types, including rainforest and eucalypt forest. As we are 1100 metres above sea-level, the views are spectacular and the nights can be cool even in summer.

If you prefer, just laze away the late afternoons on our wide verandas and wait for the wildlife to hop across the front lawn.
